Abstract: Narcotic medications have been widely used for pain management but also pose significant dangers due to their addictive properties and potential for abuse. Psychologists at the Master level play a crucial role in assessing and treating individuals who may be struggling with narcotic medication use. This essay explores the dangers of narcotic medications, the role of psychologists in addressing this issue, and provides recommendations for effective intervention strategies.
