Abstract: Obesity has become a significant public health concern globally, with urban areas facing a higher prevalence of this condition. Community-based obesity prevention programs have emerged as a potential solution to this issue, aiming to address the root causes of obesity within local neighborhoods. This essay evaluates the impact of community-based obesity prevention programs in urban areas, analyzing their effectiveness in reducing obesity rates and promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors. Through a review of current literature, this essay explores the methodologies, outcomes, and challenges of these programs, providing valuable insights for policymakers, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.
