Abstract: This study explores the effectiveness of a multidisciplinary care model involving physiotherapists, nurses, and dietitians in preventing and managing pressure ulcers in bedridden patients in a tertiary hospital. A mixed-methods approach was used to assess quantitative outcomes, such as the prevalence and severity of pressure ulcers, and qualitative insights from healthcare professionals and patients. The results showed a significant reduction in pressure ulcer prevalence, faster healing times, and improved patient satisfaction. Interdisciplinary communication and personalized care plans were key contributors to these positive outcomes, although challenges related to resource constraints were noted. The findings emphasize the importance of collaborative, patient-centered care in pressure ulcer management.
