Abstract: Background
Acne vulgaris is one of the most prevalent dermatological disorders affecting adolescents worldwide. Owing to considerable variation in lesion morphology, anatomical distribution, hormonal influences, constitutional characteristics, and associated clinical features, individualized case analysis is essential in homeopathic practice. Although acne-related rubrics are available in classical repertories, they are frequently dispersed and lack detailed clinical descriptors. The Complete Repertory offers an expanded repertorial framework that may improve individualized repertorial analysis.
Objective
To analyze acne-related rubrics available in the Complete Repertory and evaluate their utility in individualized homeopathic repertorization of teenage acne vulgaris.
Materials and Methods
A descriptive analytical review was conducted using the Complete Repertory as the primary source. Acne-related rubrics were extracted, reviewed, and categorized according to anatomical location, lesion morphology, etiological factors, hormonal associations, constitutional characteristics, associated conditions, modalities, and sequelae. Relevant literature from standard repertories and dermatology texts was reviewed to support clinical interpretation.
Results
The Complete Repertory provides extensive acne-related rubrics extending beyond the conventional diagnostic rubric. Expanded indexing includes detailed morphological descriptors, anatomical localization, constitutional states, hormonal relationships, etiological factors, associated systemic conditions, and post-inflammatory sequelae, facilitating a more individualized repertorial approach.
Conclusion
The Complete Repertory provides a comprehensive repertorial framework that may assist homeopathic physicians in selecting more characteristic rubrics during repertorial analysis of teenage acne vulgaris. Comparative repertorial studies and prospective clinical research are required to evaluate the practical significance of these expanded repertorial entries.
