Abstract: Education is a fundamental right, yet transgender individuals continue to face significant barriers that limit their educational participation and psychosocial well-being. This study examines the educational barriers and psychosocial adjustment of transgender individuals in Uttar Pradesh. A quantitative research design was adopted, and primary data were collected from 30 transgender respondents using a structured questionnaire through snowball sampling. The data were analysed using SPSS Statistics (Version 29). The findings reveal that discrimination, social stigma, financial constraints, and inadequate institutional support are the major educational barriers experienced by transgender individuals. The respondents reported a moderate level of psychosocial adjustment, while family acceptance, social support, and institutional support emerged as important factors promoting educational inclusion. The study highlights the need for inclusive educational policies and supportive institutional practices to improve educational opportunities and psychosocial well-being among transgender individuals.
